Backyard Landscape Design Garden Makeover (Gilberton).
Residents of one of Adelaide’s eastern suburbs were fortunate to have their backyard adjoin the Torrens River. This gave the couple natural scenery above their fence line. The problem was the post and rail Colourbond fence.
After deciding to have a complete backyard garden makeover, these Gilberton residents knew they had to find a landscape designer who would have experience designing their vision for a natural-looking back garden they could look at as well as be a part of.
One of the local landscape designers they contacted was Living Pictures By Tony Stanton and proceeded to book a ‘concept design session‘ to see what Tony could come up with.
Starting off with pretty much a bare slate, apart from some large native Gum Trees that would be staying, the discussion focused on what the couple had envisioned the resulting backyard landscape design garden makeover would look like, their wishes for different areas to sit and relax and what style of garden interested them.
Towards the end of the 90-minute session, Tony sketched up a concept design.
Knowing immediately they saw the picture, Tony Stanton was the professional they wanted to draw up their backyard landscape design so landscapers would have plans to follow and then be able to complete all the landscaping work specified.
Impressed with the level of detail the plans showed and selection of native plants included, they wanted to take advantage of having Tony handle all the logistics the project called for.
Looking back at the house from the paved area near the Torrens River, the transformation was delightful:
From the homes Alfresco and newly installed hardwood timber deck the clients took in their new backyard landscape design garden makeover.
It’s one of the major benefits of using expert, credible landscape designers over going straight to many landscapers, who just guess what plants to use and read the label on the pot to find out how many to plant.
