Landscape Design For Complete Backyard Makeover (Mawson Lakes).
One of the northern suburbs of Adelaide, Mawson Lakes was one of the most recent land developments people rushed to. With lots to love, the cafes, parks and walking trails, one of the not so favourable comments from the inhabitants is the close proximity to neighbours and the number of two-story homes that become the view.
Wanting to create two distinct areas, one for a better entertaining under their verandah so they could sit, relax and eat outside plus a large expanse of lawn for children to play, it was also important to hide the back fence.
Searching ‘local landscape designers‘ online, the couple found Living Pictures By Tony Stanton.
Impressed with their portfolio of landscape design completed for others, the couple decided to book a concept design meeting, the first step in the design process with Tony to find out what backyard makeover he could come up with for them.
After listening carefully to their ideas, the vision they had in their mind and the different areas they were after, Tony sketched up a concept design to show what the view could look like from the house and entertaining area.

After the meeting, which lasted beyond 90 minutes, it was decided Living Pictures By Tony Stanton were to be trusted to formalise the landscape design and create working drawings to scale that could then be given to landscapers to complete all the required landscaping construction work and plantings for the backyard makeover.

Wanting a focus on low maintenance, an automatic drip line irrigation system was installed to look after the 8 different native plants and natural lawn.
