Front & Backyard New Home Landscape Design (Vale Park).
A beautiful home was recently built at Vale Park, located north east of Adelaide. The owners were keen to have their dream garden completed as soon as possible and before they moved in.
After meeting with several landscape designers, they selected Living Pictures By Tony Stanton to turn their vision, explained at the initial concept session into full scaled construction working drawings.
The new home landscape design was for both the front garden and backyard.
For the backyard design the key elements or features were to include a swimming pool with hardwood deck and paving surround, exposed concrete aggregate path to an existing flood lit basketball area for the teenagers, a natural lawn area for the younger children to play bordered with trees and plants, vegetable beds and garden beds made up with rendered Besser blocks. As the backyard levels were lower than the house and sloping, ramps and exposed concrete aggregate paths were to be incorporated to gain access to all the different areas.
To the front garden design, existing raised garden beds were drilled out for drainage, filled with quality potting mix, planted and mulched’. In-ground garden bed soil was improved with sand and compost to a depth of 300mm before planting, irrigating and mulching. An exposed aggregate concrete path (Exposed Ash) with black granite pavers was to extend from the hardwood porch deck to the grass verge. Either side a Bull Bay Magnolia was to become a feature, surrounded by purple Fan Flowers and bordered with Dwarf Indian Hawthorn.
A rendered, custom made letter box completed the modern, structured look the clients were after.
Completely happy with the landscape design process, from the initial concept session through to the softscape and hardscape construction plans drawn up, the clients asked Living Pictures By Tony Stanton to manage the logistics of the construction.
Licensed landscaper Martyn Hand from Hand Made Gardens was chosen to complete all the landscaping work, experienced with all aspects and challenges this project called for.
As you can see from the images below, the final result came together perfectly, as planned and the clients were excited about moving in so they could enjoy the dream that became reality, thanks to the landscape designers Adelaide residents have trusted and used for over 30 years, Living Pictures By Tony Stanton.
As the plants grow, the foliage will supress weed growth by blocking sunlight to the ground too.
